European Universities Orienteering Championship 2019
24th – 27th July 2019, Olomouc, Czech Republic
From Sunday to Monday, 24th – 25th March 2019, a visit to the historically first European Orienteering Orienteering Championship (EUOC), which will take place in July in the Czech Republic, specifically in Olomouc and the surrounding areas, took place.

The Representatives of EUSA, IOF (International Orienteering Federation), CUSA (Czech University Sport Association) and EUOC organizing committee met in Prostějov at Hotel Tennis Club, where their first meeting took place in the afternoon. This meeting was in a friendly spirit and was conducted in English because of representatives of international federations. During the weekend programme in addition to administrative matters such as transportation, accommodation, meals, ceremonies, etc., the program also included a tour and check of the places where the races will start and where the races will be held. They also visited places where will be the opening,the closing and the medals ceremonies, where the participants will be accommodated ect.
On Monday morning representatives of the organizing committee of the competition Dušan Vystavěl, Jindřich Smrčka and Markéta Štenclová met with representatives of Palacký University in Olomouc – Pavel Háp, vice-dean of the Faculty of Physical Education (on the photo on the left), and Svatopluk Horák, Palacký University representative and another representative of CUSA (on the photo on the right), and talking about details of the event and mutual cooperation.
There are four races – a sprint, a short track and a sprint relay, in four different places – Bouzov, Mohelnice, forest complex Velké Košíře and Olomouc. Competitors can expect really colorful tracks that lead through beautiful and interesting surroundings. There is also an accompanying program not only for the competitors but also for the audience.
